World Suicide Prevention Day – 10 September

Traveller groups around the country have come together to highlight suicide prevention events that will take place in September to highlight World Suicide Prevention Day.

Latest figures show that suicide accounts for 11% of all Traveller deaths and that the suicide rate is 7 times the national average for Traveller men and 6 times the national average for Traveller women.

Events will be taking place at the locations marked by a candle on the map and include remembrance masses, tree planting, coffee mornings, theatre and other events. See events on Facebook Page
