It has come to our attention that there is a demonstration against discrimination in Killarney planned for this Friday – Saint Patrick’s Day.
The Travellers in the town are highlighting the ongoing endemic discrimination that they experience on a daily basis.
Quite clearly a lot of people still think it’s normal and acceptable to discriminate and refuse their services to people based on their ethnic identity. This constitutes a blanket ban. It is racist and unacceptable.
And for those like-minded people we are calling on you to come out and give your support to the Travellers in Killarney on Friday.
