Men’s cancer awareness for Movember

Movember is the month dedicated to raising awareness on men’s cancer.

Pavee Point organised a session on Prostate and Testicular Cancer awareness session for Traveller men  on the 16th of November.

The Marie Keating Foundation delivered the session to 28 Traveller men from Pavee Point’s Community Heart Project and from eight other Traveller Primary Health Care Projects from the Eastern Region Traveller Health Unit.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men and rates are on the rise.  By 2030 there’ll be 1.7 million men living with prostate cancer.  So, it is time to act now.
