Heritage Council grant for work on our Traveller archive
Posted on
Pavee Point is delighted to be a recipient of a Heritage Council Community Heritage Grant to start work on our archive.
Over our 38 year history we have built up a store of images, documents, objects and displays. The work we are starting now will enable us to develop our collection in a strategic way over the next five years.
In this way we hope to have better mechanisms for Travellers to contribute to and to have access to Traveller cultural heritage.
People can drop in and see what we have uncovered so far in our archive work from 14th to 18th of August. And on Thursday 17th of August at 10.30am we are having a public workshop on CANT – the Traveller langauge with Oein de Bharduin. #HeritageWeek2023#LivingHeritage
