On 13th January the Youth Work programme delivered Relationship and Sexuality Education Toolkit training to organisations working with young Travellers. The participants attending were made up of Travellers and settled people working directly with young Travellers. The participants were representing four Traveller organisation across the country which were;
Wicklow Traveller Programme
Sligo Traveller Group
Kilkenny Traveller Community Movement
Traveller Visibility Group
The training was a success and it will delivered to other Traveller organisations and mainstream projects working with young Travellers.
The Youth Work programme is keen to deliver the training nationally to trainers or indeed youth groups and will act as a support to those who take up this training opportunity.
