Pavee Point was delighted to facilitate a discussion session at the National Drug Forum this week on ways to respond to issues impacting on those most affected by substance misuse.
“It was a powerful exercise and great to see different professionals working together in a real partnership approach,” said Corrine Doyle, Co Ordinator of the Pavee Point Drug & Alcohol Programme, “There is a need for a greater inter-agency approach.”
The National Drug Forum is an annual event and is an action within the National Drug Strategy ‘Reducing Harm Supporting Recovery’ and aims to bring together community, voluntary and statutory agencies to share expertise. The Strategy is due to be reviewed in 2020. Pavee Point is holding a seminar next week to feed into this review.
